Uniform Rules
1. The Uniforms are the property of the Polyphonics, and not the wearer.
2. The Uniforms are to be worn only for pre-designated performances.
3. While all parts of the uniform may be worn on the way to and from a pre-designated performance location, the jacket must be worn only during the actual performance itself. It must remain in the Suit Carrier Bag at all other times.
4. It is the wearer’s responsibility to keep and maintain the uniform in pristine condition at all times and it must always be available for wearing, even at short notice. Any deviations outside of these conditions must be notified to the Chairman at the earliest possible opportunity.
5. In the event of any part of the uniform requiring cleaning, this process should not be attempted by the wearer but should be undertaken by a professional cleaning company only. The uniform suppliers, Simply Suits, recommend Casey Cleaners at Victoria Road, Blackrock (Tel 021-4315326) or at Tory Top Road (Tel 021-4319749). Any such cleaning will be at the wearer’s cost.
6. In the event of loss or irreparable damage to any part of the uniform, a replacement must be obtained from Simply Suits at the wearer’s cost.
7. During transport and storage, the uniform must be kept in the Suit Carrier Bag. During storage (e.g. in a wardrobe), the zip should be maintained approximately 15cms open from the fully closed position to allow for air circulation.
8. Any member of the chorus turning up for a performance without a full and complete uniform will not be allowed to perform on that occasion.
9. Any member who leaves the Polyphonics must return his complete uniform to the group prior to his departure.
